Should I let two rats have a new friend?

I have 2 female rats. I am thinking of getting them a new friend, can i put all three of them together, or will they fight and kill each other? I know you can put two new rats together, but three? PLEASE help!!!! thanks

I wouldn’t do it. Rats get along well if they are housed together since they are young, but they often won’t accept a new rat when adults. If you want to get another rat, you can try it, but I’d monitor them closely and be prepared to possibly separate them permanently. I know of rats who have killed other rats. You just have to be careful.
