asian women
Why are asian men considered so hot and desirable, whereas asian women are ugly and undesirable?

Why do the majority of women find Asian men considered so hot and desirable but most men think Asian women are considered ugly and unattractive?

Is this because Asian women just uglier than Asian guys? Or is it the black hair high cheek bone thing, it suits guys more than girls.

Its appears very easy for asian male to find girlfriend but no one wants to date asian girl.

Is that why Asian women are so bitter towards Asian guys cause we are getting all the women while no one wants them?

im not at all attracted to asian men. I would get with an asian chick before i got with an asian man. Asian guys getting all the women? Havent heard of it but keep telling yourself that pimp! Whatever makes you look in the mirror and smile!

Pssst! Ever wished you could be a fly on the wall and listen to what some Asian women are saying to each other about dating, relationships and men? Now you can--just read this book! This book includes hundreds of quotes from single Asian females about the subject. These Asian ladies ranged from age 19 to 58, most of them living in major cities in the United States. If you want to attract someone like one of them, listen to them! . This book is a must-read for anyone who would like to understand Asian women. Part 1 of this book explores hot relationship issues that are passionately debated, such as: Why some men prefer Asian women ? What Asian women think of men who prefer Asian women ? How some Asian women are different from non-Asian women due to Asian culture, Asian American history, and U.S. immigration laws ? Part 2 of this book discusses the various Asian cultures. For the man who is interested in attracting that special Asian woman, Ming Tan and her Asian female interviewees reveal their opinions on the following: Do Asian women find non-Asian men attractive and want to date them? The good news for Asian men How men should approach Asian women Things men should never say to Asian women How to meet Asian women on the Internet and locally How to act on a first date What makes a man sexy How to act when meeting an Asian family Asian etiquette tips and Asian culture tidbits

Asian American Women: Issues, Concerns, and Responsive Human and Civil Rights Advocacy reveals the struggles of Asian American women at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder where hunger, illness, homelessness, sweatshop labor, exposure to hazardous chemicals and even involuntary servitude are everyday realities. Asian American women of all socio-economic classes suffer from domestic violence whose root causes stem from the particular forms of patriarchy that exist in Asian cultures. Their health and lives are endangered due to prevalent but wrong stereotypes about Asian women. The model minority myth hides the appalling level of human and civil rights violations against Asian American women. The lack of research or the lumping together of the over 24 subgroups of Asian Americans into a homogeneous whole misleads the public as to the extent of injustices inflicted on Asian American women. The book captures their suffering and also the fighting spirit of Asian American women who have waged social and economic justice campaigns and founded organizations to right the wrongs against them. The book is a call to action to Asian Americans, policy makers, civil rights organizations and the philanthropic community to support Asian American women in their struggles to advance their social justice agenda.

Asian American Women brings together landmark scholarship about Asian American women that has appeared in Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies over the last twenty-five years. The essays, written by established and emerging scholars, made a significant impact in the fields of Asian American studies, ethnic studies, women’s studies, American studies, history, and pedagogy. The scholarship is still relevant today—broadening our critical understanding of Asian American women’s resistance to the forces of racism, patriarchy, militarism, cultural imperialism, neocolonialism, and narrow forms of nationalism. The essays in this collection reveal the experiences and struggles of Asian American women within a global political, economic, cultural, and historical context. The essays focus on diverse issues, including unconventional Asian American women of the early 1900s; the life of a Japanese war bride; possibilities for transnational Asian American feminism; the politics of Vietnamese American beauty pageants; mixed race identities and bisexual identities; Filipina healthcare providers; South Asian American representations; and a multiracial exchange on pedagogical interventions. The collection represents the rich diversity of Asian American women’s lives in hope of creating a new transnational space of critical dialogue, strategic resistance, and alliance building.

South Asian women have frequently been conceptualized in colonial, academic and postcolonial studies, but their very categorization is deeply problematic. This book, informed by theory and enriched by in-depth fieldwork, overturns these unhelpful cat egorizations and alongside broader issues of self and nation assesses how South Asian identities are performed. What are the blind spots and erasures in existing studies of both race and gender? In what ways do South Asian women struggle with Orien talist constructions? How do South Asian women engage with indo-chic? What dilemmas face the South Asian female scholar? With a combination of the most recent feminist perspectives on gender and the South Asian diaspora, questions of knowledg e, power, space, body, aesthetics and politics are made central to this book. Building upon a range of experiences and reflecting on the actual conditions of the production of knowledge, South Asian Women in the Disapora represents a challenging cont ribution to any consideration of gender, race, culture and power.

What is the "Asian American experience"? What role does gender play within that experience? How do race and economics factor in? Asian American Women and Men answers these questions and examines how Asian American culture is shaped by a variety of forces. This groundbreaking volume in the new Gender Lens Series is among the first to explore the Asian experience from a gendered perspective. Author Yen Le Espiritu documents how the historical and contemporary oppression of Asian Americans has structured gender relationships among them and has contributed to the creation of social institutions and systems of meaning. In so doing, she illustrates how race, class, and gender do not merely run parallel to each another, but rather intersect and confirm one another. Some of the topics discussed include Asian Americans and immigration, labor recruitment, education, relationships, and stereotypes. Asian American Women and Men has an exceptionally broad audience including students and professionals in gender studies, Asian American studies, race and ethnicity studies, sociology, political science, anthropology, and American studies. According to a recent study by the ILO (2001), women's share of the labor force is increasing worldwide. Today, women's participation rate in the labor force is over 40 per cent of the global workforce. Higher educational levels and falling fertility rates have contributed to this increased participation. There is also some evidence that women in some Asian countries may be less marginalized in their advancement into top managerial positions than their counterparts elsewhere. As women become more educated and qualified for managerial positions, the number of Asian women managers and executives is predicted to rise over the next decade. This book examines the opportunities and barriers for women managers in Asia and presents an update on their progress in management. This book was previously published as a special issue of the Asian Pacific Business Review.

This critical survey of Asian christologies focuses on the need to recognize and end the oppressed condition of Asian women. Orevillo-Montenegro shows how the christologies brought to Asia by Western missionaries failed to take into account the reality of Asia with its great diversity of cultures and traditional religions. She then describes christologies developed by male Asian theologians and those developed by women in India, Korea, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, concluding that any Asian christology must liberate Asian women who suffer from poverty, oppressive cultural traditions, a lack of basic human rights such as education, and gender discrimination.

View the Table of ContentsRead the Introduction. "A valuable collection of essays focusing on a broad array of issues concerning Asian/Pacific Islander women. This collection is recommended to all who share these concerns across various fields and disciplines."—Western Historical Quarterly "This rich collection heralds the growing significance of Asian/Pacific Islander American women in American history and women's history. The essays cover an impressive breadth of historical periods, specific groups of women, and topics. The volume showcases the diverse research of emerging scholars. These diverse subjects call forth new and creative approaches in research and writing, and this collection both demonstrates and promises exciting advances in the content and methods of historical studies."—The Journal of American History "Hune and Nomura have produced a much-needed anthology that will contribute in a substantial way to introductory courses in their field. The book also does much to elevate Asian-American women beyond the secondary roles to which they too often have been relegated in male-dominated texts. For this service alone, all of us who teach and seek to understand further the Asian-American experience owe them our gratitude."—American Historical Review Asian/Pacific Islander American Women is the first collection devoted to the historical study of A/PI women's diverse experiences in America. Covering a broad terrain from pre-large scale Asian emigration and Hawaii in its pre-Western contact period to the continental United States, the Philippines, and Guam at the end of the twentieth century, the text views women as historical subjects actively negotiating complex hierarchies of power. The volume presents new findings about a range of groups, including recent immigrants to the U.S. and understudied communities. Comprised of original new work, it includes chapters on women who are Cambodian, Chamorro, Chinese, Filipino, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Native Hawaiian, South Asian, and Vietnamese Americans. It addresses a wide range of women's experiences-as immigrants, military brides, refugees, American born, lesbians, workers, mothers, beauty contestants, and community activists. There are also pieces on historiography and methodology, and bibliographic and video documentary resources. This groundbreaking anthology is an important addition to the scholarship in Asian/Pacific American studies, ethnic studies, American studies, women's studies, and U.S. history, and is a valuable resource for scholars and students. Contributors include: Xiaolan Bao, Sucheng Chan, Catherine Ceniza Choy, Vivian Loyola Dames, Jennifer Gee, Madhulika S. Khandelwal, Lili M.
